Fabrics

One thing I love to do is to make piles of fabrics. I love the way they look together all piled up. This week I had to take some photos for an upcoming article in the new magazine 'Sew'. Here are those plus a few more that I found in my archives. Delicious!

What fun, all that folding - and such an important job that takes precedence over all others!

fabulous, fantastic, flowery, flirtatious fibre folding!

Oh scrummy! And all so beautifully pressed and neat! I always tell myself that the reason my piles never quite look this neat is because of all the awkward to fold shapes of vintage and recycled fabric - now you have put me to shame! t.x

So pretty - I love them all! This would make a fabulous postcard, ooooooo, no wait - wallpaper!! How glorious a whole wall of this would be. Katie x

I'm so glad I have found someone else who enjoys the sheer beauty of neat piles of fabric. I have just found your link through Bobo Bun where I recently left a comment about the glass fronted cabinets we used to buy our pink socks from. It's so lovely to see similar cabinets on your shop photos. I remember peering through the glass at those special socks, everything was very calm and orderly. It's nice to see them again.

Fabrics are so hard to resist I think I actually like looking through them more than I like making things with the stuff.

A life without fabric would be a sad one, wouldn't it Donna? I couldn't imagine not having pretty fabrics to drool over, to stroke now and then, and to take photos of! A simple pleasure, but us fabricaholics are easily pleased, are we not?!...I'm off to study each tiny glimpse of all yours in the photos now...
Have a happy week,

Hi Donna, lovely picture and it would make a great card, you could add a range of greetings cards to your stock! Thanks for the birthday wishes, fab weekend despite very british weather and yes I do sew, some coming soon on Hand and I and as soon as I have a valid excuse for some more sewing projects I will come on a shopping trip to you!
